The Museum of Retro Cars is the fruit of the long-standing collecting passion of the Osikovski family. Together with the winery and the hotel, the museum is part of the Zlaten Rozhen brand, adding even more cultural and tourist value to the region of the cities of Sandanski and Petrich.
The Museum
The Museum of Retro Cars is located next to the Zlaten Rozhen winery in the village of Kapatovo and covers an area of 1400 sq. m in two halls. The exhibition includes 60 cars and 44 motorcycles.
In addition to cars from our collection, we also provide an opportunity for other owners to exhibit their collections and together develop the museum as a place for sharing information and knowledge.
The museum displays unique exhibits in Bulgaria, including the Mercedes 300D Adenauer Cabriolet 1960, Messerschmitt 1956, Ford T 1912, Pierce-Arrow Model 43 Le Baron 1931, Mercedes 300 SC 1954, Ferrari 330 2+2 GT and many others. Here you will see the power of technical discoveries, the perfectionism of engineering thought, the fantasy of automotive design, the love of detail and the perseverance of great personalities who made the key qualitative changes in the automotive world.
With the help of a professional guide, you will be able to get acquainted with curious facts that characterize each car. For example, behind our Mercedes W115 220D from 1969, which became the emblem of our winery, because it was exhibited for many years in front of the eyes of all guests and visitors, lies remarkable durability.
Proof of this is the fact that in 2004, Greek taxi driver Gregorios Sachinidis donated his Mercedes-Benz 240D to the Mercedes-Benz Museum Collection with 4.6 million kilometers on the odometer, which is recognized as the highest registered mileage for a Mercedes-Benz known to date.
Another jewel is the remarkable classic of the Ford Motor Company – the Model T, with which in the period from 1908 to 1927 the company turned people’s perception of a passenger car upside down. By 1918, half of all cars in the USA were Model Ts.
The Vintage Car Museum is an official partner of FIVA (International Federation of Historic Motor Vehicles).

Winery
The history of Zlaten Rozhen Winery began in 2009 with the acquisition of several small vineyards. The first wines obtained from these vineyards, the owners Teodor and Marusya Osikovski have shared with friends.
They soon have fallen in love with the taste of the local wine and the beauty of the Struma Valley. They have opened a small boutique hotel in the village of Rozhen, bought more vineyards and after a short time they started the construction of a modern wine cellar.
In 2014, the first wines were bottled in their own facility in the village of Kapatovo, and in 2018 a wine tasting room was opened, which welcomes wine lovers all year round. The winery is located in an extremely beautiful and rich in historical and cultural attractions area, just 20 km south of the town of Sandanski and 12 km from the town of Melnik.
By taking slow, yet considered and consistent steps, as in making fine wine, the Osikovski family have reached the point where nowadays they can be proud of their modern production facility, well-tended vineyards, trusted team and aspirations that go beyond personal success.
The wines that are made in the Zlaten Rozhen winery, having respect for the land, knowledge of the local terroir, and searching for its unique character, aim to represent Bulgaria and the Struma Valley in the best way.
Nowadays, Zlaten Rozhen’s vineyards are spread over 800 hectares in two large estates. Near the village of Kapatovo are cultivated Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Melnishki Rubin, Melnik 55, Shiroka Melnishka. On the slopes near the village of Levunovo are ripening the varieties Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and again Shiroka Melnishka, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In 2018, Sandanski Misket, Muscat, Viognier and Marcelan were planted.
The hotel
The boutique hotel is located in the village of Rozhen (15 km from the winery), where wine and travel lovers will find comfort, traditional style, coziness, delicious food and of course superb Melnik wines.
Zlaten Rozhen Winery offers its guests the opportunity to visit the production facility followed by wine tasting in the comfortable tasting room on the second floor.
A variety of thematic events as well as private and corporate wine events are organized.
